However, in developed economies, especially America, there has been an increase in the number of migrants in the field of skilled labor, and one of the reasons for this is India’s IT sector. Among the Indians living abroad, the maximum money is sent from America. In this case, America’s share increased in 2020-21 to about 28 percent in 2023-24. According to Ajay Srivastava of Delhi-based think tank Global Trade Research Initiative, there is also a decline of 10 to 15 percent in the money sent from other countries. If this comes to pass, India may lose 12 to 18 billion dollars every year. Due to this, the supply of dollars will reduce, and there will be pressure on the rupee. A report by the Delhi-based Center for Tow Studies warns that such a tax can reduce the domestic budget of families in India itself.
