The story of a tiger more powerful than the king of the jungle In April 2019, a headless body was found in Bairasia, adjacent to Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh. It was found that the tiger had attacked and its teeth were only in the lungs. The postmortem report revealed that the tiger had attacked his head with its claws. Sudesh Waghmare, former Deputy Director of Van Vihar Bhopal, says that apart from the head, there were no marks of tiger nails or teeth anywhere on his body. This incident is a small example of the strength of the tiger. Experts believe that even a lion looks weak in front of a tiger. Any human in the world can do anything for love, so how can any animal stay behind in this? Sometimes he crosses two to three districts and flowing rivers for his girlfriend, and sometimes he kills his enemy’s entire family to take revenge for his girlfriend’s death for his love.
Let’s talk about the tiger. The tiger is the powerful animal of the cat family and its effect is thrilling. A tiger up to two and a half feet long weighs 170 to 260 kilograms. Its maximum speed is 65 kilometers per hour. Tigers live for 15 to 20 years. Tigers have a special layer behind the antenna in their eyes due to which they can see even at night. Tigers can see 6 times more than humans. Tigers have a spot in their ears which helps in communication like radar.
Tigers never hunt much to gather food for themselves. Because they cannot store food. A baby deer is enough for them for a week. Tigers also use their tails to move communicate with each other. Tigers can break the skull of even the largest prey with their claws. A tiger can continues travel 6 to 7 kilometers without stopping.
Tigers are considered more agile and powerful than lions. Tigers have soft soles on their feet which help them move silently in their habitat. Tigers usually travel 6-10 -12 miles during night hunting. During the day, the tiger’s stripes can act as camouflage, allowing it to blend in with its surroundings and stalk and ambush its prey.
According to tiger expert Sudesh Waghmare, tiger can jump upto 25 feet. The paws of both lion and tiger are equal in size but lion uses only one paw for hunting whereas tiger uses both the front paws. It is 33 times more powerful than a human slap. Tiger cleans its nails by rubbing on trees. While on one hand lion lives in a herd, tiger creates territory and lives alone. Retired forest officer Sudesh Waghmare says that if another tiger enters the territory of a tiger or tigress, then there is a bloody fight between the two. When there were no computers and CCTV cameras, tigers used to identify them with the help of their paws and stripes. Tiger hunts by hiding like a gorilla. It can lift and move prey weighing upto 500 kg. Tiger has the ability to swim upto 10 km without getting tired. Tigress has to raise her children by avoiding tiger. Actually, as soon as a male cub is born, tiger tries to kill it so that it does not become a threat for it in future. In such a situation, tigress raises the children in some secret place. We have told you till here. Important information related to tiger was given but after this we will tell three surprising stories from the world of tigers
Bloody fight between tigress Langdi and Khankati In 2011, a tigress named Langdi lived with her two children in Chakradhar of Bandhavgarh Reserve. One day tigress Khankati came to live there. Langdi defeated her and drove her away but after 3 months Khankati attacked again and killed Langdi. Not only this, she also ate her body. Langdi’s children somehow escaped and saved their lives but the twist in the story came when those children started taking revenge for their mother’s death. Now Khankati started living in Chakradhar and she met with the tiger here and gave birth to three children. In August 2014, a male tiger killed all three children of Khankati. This tiger was none other than Langdi’s young child. After a few days, Khankati again gave birth to three children but this time she was alert. She had faked a meeting to trap the bloody bag of her children in the net. When the male tiger came, he understood Langdi’s trick. According to the World Life Institute of India, the tiger killed Khankati and her three children in anger. In this way, Langdi tigress’s child avenged his mother’s death by killing Khankati’s entire family after 3 years.
An incident related to the love story of the tiger is also from Rajasthan’s Ranthambore National Park. In August 2020, a tiger teen98 lived with tigress MP2 in this national park, but one day the tigress was sent to Mukundra Hills Tiger Reserve with another tiger MT1. One day, to meet his girlfriend, Tiger T98 crossed 3 districts and Kali Sindh river and reached Mukundra Hills 150 km away, but by then he was living with another tiger. A few days after this incident, the body of tiger T98, who had come from Rajasthan, was found in the post-mortem that the cause of his death was lung disease and heart attack. About 10 days later, the body of his girlfriend was found. There were marks of wounds on her body. The doctors of the Tiger Reserve speculated that it could be the tiger with which she was kept. The tigress refused to let him meet again and both of them fought which resulted in his death
In 1996, the tigress Machli defeated her mother and captured the territory. She did not lose a single fight in 15 years, but in 2014, when she became weak, her daughter Sundari defeated her and forced her to wander in the forest. Her fight with a 14 feet crocodile is still popular. Tourism in the National Park was big because of Machli and she started earning 10 million dollars annually. India has 3682 tigers which is the highest in the world and Madhya Pradesh has the biggest contribution in this.
